Frequently asked questions
Using the Music
What can I use the music for?
You can use the music in videos, podcasts, social media content, online advertising, websites,
and other online projects published on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and other social
media platforms worldwide.
Is there a limit on how many channels I can use?
No. You can publish your content on unlimited channels, including third-party channels.
The number of channels you can monetize depends on your plan (see below).
Which social media platforms are covered?
All major social media platforms are supported, including YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok,
and others.
Are my published projects covered forever?
Yes. Any content published during an active subscription can remain online and monetized
forever, even after your subscription ends.
Do I need a different license for games or TV?
Subscription plans are designed for online video and social media content.
For games, TV, broadcast use, and professional distribution such as VOD platforms
(like Netflix), film festivals, or theatrical release, you can purchase a
single track license
with extended rights.
Monetization
Can I monetize my videos?
Yes, all plans include monetization on your own channels.
Creator: Monetize 1 of your own channels per platform
(unlimited platforms).
Business: Monetize up to 3 of your own channels per
platform.
Agency: Monetize up to 3 of your own channels per
platform.
For client monetization rights, see the Client Work section below.
What does monetization include?
Monetization includes advertising revenue (such as YouTube ad revenue), sponsorships, brand
integrations, paid promotions, affiliate and referral links, and other similar ways of
generating income from your content.
Copyright, Claims & Licensing
Will I get copyright claims on YouTube?
Automated copyright claims are a normal part of YouTube's Content ID system and may occur on some
tracks. This is a standard verification process and not a copyright strike, penalty, or warning. A
claim simply means that YouTube has recognized the music and matched it to the registered rights
holder. It does not put your channel at risk.
Our library is used safely by thousands of creators, businesses, and filmmakers every day. If a claim
appears, you can quickly resolve it using your
License Verification Link (see below).
NeoSounds has long-standing relationships with artists, distributors, and
Content ID partners on YouTube, helping make license verification and claim resolution straightforward.
Why do copyright claims happen?
NeoSounds works with authors on a non-exclusive basis. This means they
retain control over how their music is managed and may choose to register their works with YouTube
Content ID themselves or through rights management partners.
This flexible approach allows authors to retain control of their rights while enabling
NeoSounds to offer a much broader and more diverse music catalog than would
be possible with an exclusive-only library.
As a result, music that is properly licensed through NeoSounds may still be matched by YouTube's
Content ID system. Content ID claims are therefore a normal and expected part of using licensed
music. They do not necessarily indicate unauthorized use or a licensing problem.
If you receive a claim, you can usually resolve it in a few steps by
verifying your license with your License Verification Link (see below). Learn more in
our article
on YouTube Content ID and copyright claims.
What is a license verification link?
A license verification link is a unique link included with every download. It provides
up-to-date license information and contains only the information necessary to verify your
license and resolve copyright claims. It can be shared with platforms, clients, or rights
holders as proof that the track was licensed during an active subscription
(see example).
Where can I find the license verification link?
The license verification link is available in your
Download History.
Open the context menu next to the relevant download and select "Verification Link".
What should I do if I receive a copyright claim?
Simply submit your license verification link through YouTube's dispute process. Claims are
typically cleared quickly, and we provide a
step-by-step guide
if you need assistance.
Can I download a full PDF license?
Yes. While the license verification link is tied to a specific download and contains only the
information necessary to verify your license and resolve copyright claims, a PDF license provides
detailed information about your licensed rights, including account information associated with
the license.
You can download the PDF license at any time from the context menu of the relevant plan on your
My Subscriptions
page.
Client Work
Can I use the music for client projects?
Yes. With the Business and Agency plans, you can use music in content you create for your clients.
Creator: Not available
Business: Up to 5 clients per month
Agency: Up to 30 clients per month
How can my clients use the content?
Your clients can publish the content on unlimited channels across unlimited platforms,
subject to the same publishing permissions included in your plan.
Can my clients monetize the content?
Yes. Your clients may monetize that content on 1 of their own channels per
platform, with no limit on the number of platforms.
Can my clients keep using the content forever?
Yes. Client projects must be delivered during an active subscription. Once delivered, your
clients can continue using the content indefinitely, even after your subscription ends.
Subscription & Billing
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your
My Subscriptions
page. Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period, and you
will not be charged again unless you renew.
What happens if I cancel my subscription?
You will continue to have access until the end of your current billing period. Any content
published during your active subscription remains licensed forever, even after your
subscription ends.
Can I upgrade or change my plan?
We’re currently working on upgrade options. In the meantime, all plans are month-to-month — you can cancel anytime and switch to a different plan the following month.
You can also start a new plan at any time, as multiple plans can be used simultaneously — see the section below.
Can I use multiple plans at the same time?
Yes. You can have multiple plans and select which plan to use for each download. You can switch between
plans at any time from the site header or directly in the download dialog. Every downloaded track is
licensed under the plan selected at the time of download.
How can I pay for my subscription?
Depending on your location, you can pay with a debit or credit card, Google Pay, Apple Pay, and other supported methods.
All payments are securely processed via Stripe.
Once your payment is complete, you can start downloading and using music immediately.
Invoices are available to download anytime from your account.
What currency will I be charged in?
Subscription pricing is based on USD.
During checkout, you can choose to pay in USD or your local currency (if available). Available
currency options are provided by our payment provider (Stripe) based on your location, with
prices converted from USD.
If you choose to pay in your local currency, the amount may vary slightly between billing
periods due to exchange rates. Invoices will be issued in your selected currency and
reflect the exact amount charged in that currency.
If you choose to pay in USD, the subscription price remains fixed, and any currency
conversion is handled by your bank or payment provider. Invoices will be issued in USD.
For single track licenses, you can select your preferred currency directly on the site for
both display and payment.
